MetraTech Corp. CTO Doug Zone to participate in panel discussion at Billing World 2008 conference in Chicago next week

Boston, MA and London, April 22, 2008 – Doug Zone, MetraTech’s chief technology officer, has been selected to participate in a panel discussion at the prestigious Billing & OSS World 2008 conference in Chicago next week.  The event, North America’s leading meeting place for the billing market, brings together over 1,000 industry professionals over the course of its four day duration.

Zone will participate in a panel chaired by Dan Baker, research director of analyst house Dittberner and Associates on Wednesday April 30th at 10am in Room W-471b in McCormick Place, the venue for the event.  The panelists will address the question: “Breaking Through the Billing Bottleneck.”

According to conference organizers Virgo Publishing, “CRM and billing need to catch up to provisioning and OSS in terms of standardized commands and language that will enable next-generation product catalogs to be flexible and changeable according to dynamic market requirements. Translating increasingly complex product codes can compromise the speed with which products are deployed or modified. To expedite activation and provisioning, billing vendors should be working to evolve their systems so multifarious products and feature sets are understood by all partners in a common language. The panel will discuss how vendors are working to break through the billing bottleneck.”
