I’ve been with MetraTech since March ’08. I came here as a temporary contractor to do some template work in Microsoft Word. After a few months, I decided to stay. The company is well established but has the excitement of “start-up”. The people around me are very smart, and are willing to go the extra mile to do a really good job. Every one seems to work hard, and is very proud of what they produce.
While here, I have had the opportunity to bring in a new technology for writing documentation. I used this tool at my prior company and really enjoyed working with it. Over the last few months, the other writer and I have imported all the legacy documentation into the tool. We are working on ways to single source information and publish it in several different formats.
It’s exciting to be in “start-up” mode of an established stable company.

After a career of 3 year stints at other companies, if someone told me that I would be at MetraTech over 8 years later and still excited about my work and the company, it would have seemed ridiculous.

I joined the Metratech family a little over two years ago as a Technical Support Engineer. Since then I have had a very rewarding experience. I have been able to learn about large-scale databases as well as the product in my position at the company. I have been challenged everyday in a way that forces me to grow as a person and grow my skill set. There is also a sense of pride in the company among the employees in that there is always someone there to help in any situation so we will succeed in producing a top quality product for customers to use. The company treats all employees as people and not numbers.
